You can also use acupressure as an extension of your exercise routine, by introducing it to warm up or cool down stretches.

Hall of impression point

This pressure point is situated in the middle of the forehead. It helps to alleviate feelings of anxiety and stress. When applying CBD oil to this pressure point, follow the steps below. 

  1. Begin by locating the pressure point in between your eyebrows. 
  2. Add a drop of CBD oil to your fingers. 
  3. Apple pressure and massage the spot between your brows for five to ten minutes. Breathe deeply as you do so. 

You can use this process to alleviate headaches, as well as anxiety. The temples are another key pressure point on the head, especially when using CBD oil or any other essential oils.  

Heavenly gate point

This pressure point is situated in the upper shell of your ear, at the tip of the triangle shape there. It’s thought to alleviate symptoms of insomnia.  

 

Once you have located the pressure point, apply firm pressure in a circular motion. It may help to use a mirror to find the correct position. 

Union valley point

This point is found between your thumb and index fingerand is thought to reduce stress and headaches. 

  1. Use the index finger and thumb from your other hand to apply pressure to this point.  
  2. Massage in circular motions with CBD oil and breathe deeply. 

You can practice acupressure on these points whenever you feel tension and stress 

Shoulder well point

The shoulder well point is thought to relieve stress, help with muscle tension and alleviate headaches.  

 

To find this point, pinch your shoulder muscle with your middle finger and thumb, then apply pressure and massage the point. You should release the pinch as you massage the pressure point. Though you may be able to do this yourself, it does require some flexibility; if you have a willing volunteer, ask them to help.  

Great surge point

The feet are known to contain pressure points, which is why foot massage is a key part of reflexology. The great surge point is on the upper part of your foot, just below the intersection of your big toe and second toe. 

 

Once you’ve found the point, apply pressure. Gently massage the oil into your skin for 4-5 seconds, taking note of any soreness or tension in your feet. Because it’s an anti-inflammatory, CBD oil and balms can be used to treat stiffness and swelling in the feet more generally too.
